Leskov deftly interspersed the question of modernization, the love of country of the Russian people, the obstacles that prevented the country from reaching Western civilization in the real sense. The three stories in the book are an introduction to getting to know this important name of Russian literature. The book was translated into Turkish as a result of a voluntary effort and has not been published in any publishing house.
